Description

STEM Family Fun (SFF) is a 2Gen STEM group focused on project-based STEM challenges. Each child attends with an adult teammate, i.e. parent, grandparent, mentor, older sibling, etc. The adult team member is not optional. This group is for kids in grades 3-6. Teams in STEM Family Fun learn maker skills, coding, and basic robotics.

The first semester STEM Family Fun starts 9/16/26, and registration is open for quarter 2 which runs 10/28/26- 12/9/26. This quarter, the STEM teams will tackle the popular Battery Buggy challenge. A Battery Buggy is a motorized cardboard car designed and built over the first five weeks of the quarter. in the final session, teams compete in the Battery Buggy Rally a fun competition that's open to friends and family! Weekly meetings are 90 minutes long and include a short Bible lesson.

👉 To keep STEM Family Fun accessible, we use a Pay What You Want model. Each 6-week quarter costs about $50 per student in materials. We ask families to contribute at least $20 per quarter to help cover these costs. Those able to give more make it possible for others to join.

Participants must be entering grades 3 to 6.
